If you’ve read any of our previous blog posts, you’ll know we typically write about interesting topics that relate to the commercial real estate market in Edmonton. We intentionally avoid posting promotional information or even new listings as we don’t think it will be interesting to the average reader. Instead, we pride ourselves on providing an advertisement-free blog that focuses on timely and relevant articles.
To diverge a bit from this mandate – but still to keep a focus on something we’re proud of – this week’s article is about a recent accomplishment.
In June, Chad and Ryan both completed the pre-requisites and earned their SIOR designations. While the designation is lesser known in Canada, there are roughly 3,000 members in nearly 700 cities, allowing access to network of elite brokers globally. The SIOR designation bills itself as a sign of the “most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists.”‘
Achieving the designation is no small task as it requires a minimum 5 years of experience, a certain threshold of production, commercial real estate specific education, endorsements from colleagues and a commitment to a upholding high ethical standards. Obtaining the designation required an investment in both time and money, but it represents a commitment to ensure Chad and Ryan are providing the highest level of value to their clients.
To tie in with this accomplishment, Chad recently wrote an article for Forbes to highlight the benefits of working with a commercial real estate designations.
